The one-day masterclass will consist of a non-commercial screening of The Woodcutter Story (2022, Mikko Myllylahti, Aamu Film Company). The screening will be followed by a masterclass and case study on the cinematography of the film hosted by the director of photography, Arsen Sarkisiants, and moderated by AMPI lecturer Hannu Käki. The Masterclass will approach the elements of the story, the search for the best look for the film, the process of finding and defining visual choices and structure, and how to support a narrative visually in ways that help to elevate the story far beyond what is on the page. This screening and masterclass are happening in collaboration with B Plan (https://bufo.fi/b-plan/)
