AMPI+ is an initiative meant for the further training of mobile filmmakers who already have some experience with filmmaking. The participants are chosen and invited from the many applications that AMPI receives for the open calls, or the participants of those workshops are chosen and invited from the AMPI alumni.
As part of AMPI+ we organized a Dogme 95 workshop which focused on scriptwriting & directing led by Erol Mintas and cinematography & lighting led by Christopher L. Thomas. The workshop took place online and face to face training. In this workshop participants had the chance to develop their filmmaking skills under the Covid-19 circumstances by taking the Dogme-95 as an approach to explore and experiment with storytelling. Participants of this intensive workshop were invited from AMPI alumni who already have experience with filmmaking.
After we selected participants, we maintained the tailor-made aspects, with the possibility of troubleshooting the short film project that participants created during the workshops. We introduced new tools to enhance the interactivity between participants and also demonstrated the Dogme-95 approach in theoretical and practical degrees.
